Parents and Carers

Haverigg Primary aims to make sure parents are as informed as possible about life in school. We are always available to share information so please ask a question that may arise.

School sends out weekly electronic newsletter, SSM text messages, information leaflets, teacher/parent appointments and frequent telephone calls for quick information exchanges to keep in touch with families. teachers also use the "Class Dojo" messaging system to keep in touch and encourage positive learning behaviours.

However please contact school directly whenever the need arises to ensure our partnership between home and school remains strong.

Please do not send children when they are unwell. They are best at home where they can be cared for properly and get better quickly.
If your child has a common cold then please send them in  warm clothing with plenty of  spare tissues and a reminder to cover their mouth and nose and wash hands often. They will be fine in school.
In the event of children being unwell school will always contact the emergency contact number. Please keep this up to date.

When your child is absent contact school as early as possible to explain. The Office is open from 8.30am.

If the office staff don't hear from you by 10 past 9 the same day they will call to establish your child's reason for absence. This is an accordance withe school's safeguarding procedures for all children.

You can also contact us via email which wil go directly to the office email box.

Past Pupils

Are you a past pupil of one of the Haverigg schools? ( Girls and Infants/Boys or Primary?) If so  the children would love to hear from you. Tell us about your memories of school and let us know your successes in life. Especially if you think your success is down to something you learnt whilst here.
